One of A Kind

One of a kind is a annual show for kids commissioned by the Vancouver International Children’s Festival that shares the stories of young emerging artists in and around Vancouver. Directed by the award winning actor, writer and theatrical event organizer, Deb Williams, One of a kind performers write and create the piece around true stories from their childhoods.

Because of the covid-19 pandemic our One of a Kind production had to shift to an online format which introduced many challenges but so many more new and interesting opportunities as well! With the help and support of my fellow performers, I “performed” my story through illustrations in a continuous scrolling fashion, accompanied by a voice over. With 30+ drawings, I told a story about childhood anxiety and how that can manifest in obsessing after seeing a dying moose outside my elementary school as a kid. These are a few of those illustrations
