(Un)Settled

During the height of the Covid-19 pandemic, I had the privilege to spend the summer in my hometown of Smithers BC where I was given the generous permission from my father to paint the wall of my teenage bedroom with an 8’ x 10’ mural. I was inspired by the feelings of foreboding and eeriness of the pandemic mixed with the comfort and nostalgia of being home. I was also heavily influenced by my favorite quarantine discovery, the Shakey Graves album Can’t Wake Up. You can watch a time lapse of the process below.
